My sweet friend,

You've been there for me,

Day and night,

Rain or shine,

Now and then.

Why do you have to go?

We've been friends since kindergarten.

Through primary school,

You were my protector,

My saviour, my guardian.

Secondary school came,

Still the same;

I'm the prince,

You're the bodyguard.

"Bullies, don't ever come near!

I have a friend who'd die for me."

Still,

God is Almighty, Caring, Forgiving.

He loves you more,

And took you away.

Even though you're gone,

You're still here with me,

In my heart, beside me,

Still protecting me,

Guarding me;

Great friend,

You are my guardian angel.
